The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of donors and prospects, with a focus on those capable of making significant contributions. This role involves leading a team of fundraisers, expanding external relationships, and creating and implementing strategic plans for individual, major, and planned giving. The Vice President will also be tasked with setting and achieving ambitious fundraising goals, with a target of generating at least $7M by 2029, and promoting the organization's mission within the philanthropic community. Applicants for the Vice President of Individual Giving position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' of fundraising experience, with at least 5 years' dedicated to individual giving. A proven track record of securing gifts in the range of $100K to $1M and a strong ability to grow donor pipelines are essential. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work with a diverse team, and a deep understanding of fundraising concepts and techniques. While not mandatory, a personal connection to military families or experience in the VSO space is preferred.
