This role is pivotal in providing expert legal advice and counsel on a range of complex legal matters, particularly those related to financial insurance and risk transfer solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on legal and regulatory issues, managing various insurance regulatory matters, and supporting complex transactions, including cross-border insurance and reinsurance transactions. Deep experience in financial insurance regulation, such as credit, surety, financial guaranty, and residual value, is essential. While experience in securitization transactions and other types of lending and structured financing is ideal, it is not a mandatory requirement. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company should have a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school and be fully licensed to practice law. The role requires a minimum of 15 years' of relevant legal experience, with a strong preference for those with a background in financial insurance regulation. The Senior Counsel will be expected to independently provide the highest level of subject matter expertise, create risk management recommendations, and lead in the resolution of highly complex legal issues. Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills are necessary, as is the ability to lead cross-functional projects and negotiations. The position demands a candidate with a proven track record of interacting with senior leaders and influencing company decision-making, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
