The successful candidate will be responsible for handling subpoena responses, providing advice on E&O circumstances and claims, and supervising outside counsel in active litigations. This role requires a commercially oriented individual with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house corporate legal department, and a strong familiarity with the insurance industry, insurance regulations, or insurance coverage litigation. The Senior Counsel will also be expected to contribute to the strategic plan and initiatives of the legal, compliance, and public affairs departments, and to support business colleagues in a wide range of legal issues and projects. Applicants for the Senior Counsel - Litigation position at the company should be admitted to the bar in New York and possess excellent judgment, communication, and project management skills.
