The successful candidate will be the lead business lawyer for the newly formed AI Innovation and Acceleration group, providing expert legal advice and strategic risk management. This role requires a professional with a law degree from an accredited institution, at least 10 years of experience in transactional law practice, and a strong background in the entertainment or technology sectors. The VP Legal will be the legal point of contact for senior management in the AI group, and will also coordinate legal advice across various business and corporate functions. Responsibilities include contract negotiation and drafting for AI and new technology agreements, as well as serving as the legal representative for the AI group in corporate AI governance. Applicants for this role at the company should possess a proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to handle complex, fast-paced projects. The role demands excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, as well as the ability to distill complex legal issues for a non-legal audience. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of AI and its applications, particularly in relation to the legal and regulatory challenges faced by entertainment companies. A membership in good standing of a State Bar is required, and the candidate should be able to work both independently and as part of a team, with a focus on creative problem-solving and a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
