This specialist role is focused on managing stewardship engagement and voting on behalf of clients invested in active strategies globally. The successful candidate will be responsible for voting and engaging with a universe of companies, providing support on portfolio company analysis, and assessing corporate governance in advance of voting. Key responsibilities include demonstrating expertise in company performance, corporate governance, and sustainability-related practices, as well as leading engagement meetings with portfolio companies. The role also involves monitoring industry initiatives, contributing to data gathering for voting decisions, and preparing position papers on governance and stewardship topics. Applicants for this role at the Vice President level should have an undergraduate degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 8 years' experience in a financial services-focused role, ideally with engagement and/or voting responsibilities. Desired qualifications include a strong understanding of financial statements and corporate finance, excellent communication skills, a diligent work ethic, and a keen interest in corporate governance and sustainable business practices. The role requires a collaborative working style, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft products. The candidate should be able to prioritize and resolve complex issues under pressure, and be adept at building and maintaining successful relationships both within the firm and with external parties.
