The successful candidate will be a key liaison between the company and national/regional payer customers, including commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and other segments. This role is pivotal in enhancing the company's market presence in Retina and advancing patient and physician access to its lead product candidate. Responsibilities include creating and evolving market access business plans, pre-approval information exchange strategies, and engaging in post-approval value activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of existing relationships across top US payers, therapeutic experience in Retina, and a proven track record in market access strategy and product commercialization. Applicants for this role at the company should have a BS/BA in a relevant field, with an MS or MBA preferred, and at least 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including a minimum of 10 years in payer account management, reimbursement, marketing, or related areas. A deep understanding of the US healthcare system, payer dynamics, and a strong network of relationships in the payer landscape are essential. The role requires a leader with a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders. Experience in launching products in the Retina market and a background in the legal and regulatory aspects of the industry are also important. The position demands a high level of travel, both within the US and potentially internationally.
