The successful candidate will be a key legal advisor to the executive team, with a primary focus on legal transactional work and contract management. This role also includes serving as the Director of Compliance, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and guidelines, and overseeing the enterprise risk management program. Responsibilities for the Associate General Counsel at the company include reviewing contracts and commercial leases, implementing efficient contracting processes, and developing and maintaining agency policies. The role requires a self-starter with the ability to manage a large volume of projects, excellent writing and communication skills, and experience in legal transactions and contract management. Experience with employment law is a plus, and the candidate should be a member of the New York State Bar. The ideal candidate will have approximately 5 years of related legal experience, a J.D. from an accredited law school, and a strong background in compliance and risk management. The position is well-suited for a professional who is adept at collaborating with outside counsel on litigation, and who has experience in developing and maintaining legal databases.
