This strategic and collaborative role is pivotal in ensuring that leadership and governance practices across the organization align with its values and mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership development, executive-level best practices, and strategies to affiliate CEOs, as well as supporting affiliate Boards of Directors in various aspects of leadership. The role demands a high level of emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and strong communication skills, and the ability to manage through influence. The Vice President will also oversee a team that provides technical assistance and consulting services to affiliate leadership, with a focus on strengthening governance and leadership practices. Applicants for the Vice President position should have at least 15 years' directly related experience, with a preference for those who have worked in an executive role within a nonprofit or healthcare setting. A degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or organizational leadership is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and developing a diverse staff, excellent collaboration skills, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Responsibilities include coordinating with the Executive Vice President and Chief Federation Engagement and Impact Officer, serving on the FEI leadership team, and leading efforts to support affiliates in various circumstances. The role also involves overseeing the Affiliate Resource Team and the Financial Assessment and Support Engagement Program.
