The successful candidate will be tasked with providing a high-quality Montessori education to a diverse student body in partnership with parents. This role requires a visionary and hands-on leader who can inspire and manage the school with a focus on the school's mission and vision. The Head of School will be responsible for setting the tone at the top, refining and delivering the school's messages, and ensuring the school's values are upheld. While prior Montessori experience is ideal, it is not required. The Head must have a personal belief in progressive education and be willing to undertake Montessori Administrative certification. Key responsibilities include leadership, management, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The ideal candidate for the Head of School position at the company will have a background in early childhood education, be highly visible in the school's daily life, and possess the ability to balance the pace of change with the preservation of the school's unique identity. Essential qualifications include a calm, relational presence, financial literacy, and experience in student and faculty assessment. The role also involves addressing challenges such as enrollment, creating a culture of philanthropy, and establishing clear expectations and accountability for faculty and staff. The Head of School will be expected to engage with the local and greater Montessori professional community and to work towards the school's goal of being a sustainable and independent Montessori learning community with a lasting impact.
