The successful candidate will be the first in-house counsel, taking on a pivotal role in managing a wide range of legal matters, including commercial transactions, business development, corporate law, insurance, and stock plan administration. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of legal challenges and to contribute to the strategic initiatives of a fast-growing, tech-enabled service company. The role demands a strategic thinker with excellent judgment, a self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, and an exceptional communicator capable of translating complex legal concepts into practical advice for business leaders. Applicants for the Vice President Legal position at the company should have a J.D. degree, a state bar membership, and a minimum of 4 years of experience in a top-tier law firm and/or an in-house legal department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling complex commercial transactions, with experience in fast-growing industries being a key requirement. A background in compliance, data privacy, or intellectual property law, as well as proficiency in equity compensation and stock plan administration, is highly desirable. The role also requires the ability to work cross-functionally, support legal and strategic guidance, and ensure legal alignment with business objectives.
