The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing procurement category and contract strategies, as well as leading and coaching the procurement team. This role involves serving as the key interface between various internal stakeholders, overseeing the implementation of procurement strategies, and driving value-creating procurement solutions. The VP will also be tasked with maintaining relationships with major equipment manufacturers and suppliers, monitoring the regulatory environment, and ensuring that procurement activities are in line with established schedules and budgets. Applicants for the VP, Solar and BESS Procurement position at the company should have a relevant Bachelor's degree, with a preference for engineering, supply chain, construction, or business management, and at least 18 years of experience in a similar role, including significant people management experience. The role requires expertise in negotiating and contracting capital equipment, as well as a strong background in spend category methodologies and procurement processes. Experience in utility-scale renewable energy project procurement, particularly in solar and BESS, is essential.
