The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and monitoring fundraising goals, developing strategies to enhance principal gifts fundraising, and managing a portfolio of prospects. This role requires a dynamic and strategic leader with a proven ability to secure transformative gifts, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a commitment to the mission of the organization. The VP will also be involved in mentoring and coaching the team, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration, and will be expected to travel as necessary to meet with donors. Applicants for the Vice President, Principal Gifts position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and a minimum of 15 years' of major gifts fundraising experience, with a strong managerial background. The role demands a candidate with a successful track record in major gift solicitations, superior communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels.
