The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining compelling, data-driven messaging for various programs, including AP, the SAT Suite of Assessments, and BigFuture. This role involves leading a team of communication experts, providing day-to-day management, and setting high standards for content quality and innovation. The Executive Director will also be instrumental in crisis communications, interdepartmental collaboration, and ensuring that the team's work aligns with the organization's goals. Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior communication role, with a preference for those with over 15 years of experience. The role requires a leader with a strong background in content development, crisis management, and strategic communication planning. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of simplifying complex information into impactful stories, excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to mentor and lead a team. Experience in public relations, journalism, or a related field is essential, as is a background that includes direct support of a prominent principal. The Executive Director will be expected to travel up to 25% and must be authorized to work for any employer in the USA.
