This senior leadership role is pivotal in defining and implementing the enterprise-level IT incident management strategy on a global scale. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the service availability management (SAM) strategy across the North American region, ensuring the team operates effectively, and managing the SAM functions to improve stability and reduce the impact of disruptions. Key responsibilities include owning metrics definition and reporting, proactively identifying and remediating deficiencies, and acting as a direct escalation point for SAM in the region. The role also involves communication with a global audience, including executive management, and interfacing with senior stakeholders to provide updates on major incidents. Candidates for this role at the company should have a strong background in IT incident management processes and controls, with a focus on IT service management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of IT experience, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and ITIL certification in incident management. Experience with industry best practices and frameworks such as ITIL V4, COBIT, FFIEC, and NIST is essential. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a high-pressure environment, and experience in leading geographically distributed and diverse teams. Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow, xMatters, and Everbridge is preferred, and prior experience in handling risk and regulatory remediations is a plus.
