The successful candidate will be a seasoned healthcare communications professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience, possessing a hybrid skill set as a strategist and senior project manager. This role is pivotal in challenging the status quo and leading agency teams through the development of winning pitch strategies. The VP will be responsible for optimizing new business opportunity conversion, focusing on pitch excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovative problem-solving. Key responsibilities include evaluating opportunities, guiding teams in proposal development, and ensuring high standards in pitch storytelling. The role also involves leading the development of supporting materials, creating standard operating procedures for collaboration, and promoting the sharing of information across all divisions. The ideal candidate will have a B.S./B.A. degree, preferably in a related field, and a deep understanding of the communications and PR business model. They should have a proven track record in managing multiple projects, with at least 4 years of experience in new business proposal development. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to manage and mentor teams, are essential. The VP will also be expected to support marketing projects and have a background in healthcare PR agency account management. The role requires a skilled, communicative team member with an entrepreneurial spirit, balanced with analytical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
