This pivotal role involves leading the Investor Relations team in ensuring the organization's adherence to internal policies and procedures for all governmental grants. The successful candidate will be responsible for grant and risk management, including the creation and maintenance of systems to ensure compliance with government grant agreements. This includes overseeing progress to grant deliverables, budgets, and the timely submission of all grant reports. The VP will also be involved in liaising with federal grant administrators, supervising the launch of all federal grant awards, and keeping abreast of regulatory and policy changes that impact the organization's work. Applicants for the VP position should have a Master's degree in a relevant field and at least 8-10 years' of experience in grant compliance and administration or a related area. The role requires a candidate with strong entrepreneurial skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to exercise considerable judgment and creativity in organizing workflow and meeting deadlines. The VP will be expected to promote compliance practices throughout the organization and ensure that all personnel understand the importance of adhering to program standards and regulations. Collaboration with other departments to integrate data and reporting workstreams into compliance practices is also a key aspect of the role. The ideal candidate will have a background in public policy, business, non-profit management, or community development, and be familiar with reading funding authorizing legislation and grant agreement terms and conditions.
