Vice President of People About the Company Progressive food & beverage company IndustryFood & Beverages TypePrivately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a VP of People to play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's success. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor, providing guidance and support to leaders and employees, and will be responsible for developing and implementing HR solutions that align with the company's goals and objectives. This includes ensuring HR practices promote a positive and productive work culture, maintaining an employee handbook with relevant employment law compliance, and leading the HR team in stewarding brand values and culture practices. The VP of People will also be accountable for talent development, including designing and implementing programs to enhance capabilities, and will lead the talent acquisition process to attract and retain top talent. Candidates for the VP of People position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related discipline, with at least 10 years' of progressive experience in HR leadership. A proven track record in building and managing an HR function to scale a business is essential, and HR certification is preferred. The role requires a candidate with industry experience in product, consumer goods, or multi-channel organizations, and familiarity with compensation and benefits practices. Knowledge of HR practices and employment laws, particularly in Texas, is a must. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Google Suite and MS Office, with experience in HRIS or HCM systems, and project management software. The VP of People will be an integral member of the Senior Executive Team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making, and must be adept at managing external vendors and consultants.
