Vice President & Assistant General Counsel About the Company Diverse real estate investment trust IndustryReal Estate TypePrivately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President and Assistant General Counsel to provide legal support for its leasing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, negotiating, and finalizing office lease agreements and related documents for new and existing tenants. This role requires close coordination with leasing representatives to ensure the timely execution of lease agreements. The VP and Assistant General Counsel will also support the operations team in the development of new business initiatives, and division training efforts, and perform other tasks as directed by the Division General Counsel. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in real estate leasing transactions, with a strong focus on office building leasing. Experience in an in-house legal environment is preferred. The role demands outstanding analytical, writing, and lease drafting skills, as well as a team-first mentality and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be practical, results-oriented, and have the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously. A graduate of a nationally-recognized law school, with admission to the California Bar or the ability to become a California Registered In-House Counsel, is required. The role also requires strong communication, reporting skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite, with the ability to develop proficiencies in other computer-based technologies used by the company.
