The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership, direct supervision, and financial management of the Finance Office, Payroll Office, and Food Service Program. This role requires ensuring compliance with all financial regulations, serving as the primary financial advisor to the Superintendent and the School Committee, and overseeing the development and monitoring of the annual budget. The CFO will also be involved in long-term financial strategy development, financial reporting, and managing the District's audit process. Applicants for the Chief Financial Officer position at the company should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with advanced graduate studies preferred. A certification or eligibility for certification as a School Business Administrator and a Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official is also required. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of successful experience in school and/or municipal finance, exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to transparency and accountability are essential for this role.
