Head of Transmission About the Company Pioneering energy company IndustryOil & Energy TypePrivately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Head of Transmission to spearhead the development and implementation of a robust transmission and interconnection strategy. This pivotal leadership role is essential for defining the company's greenfield siting strategy and ensuring the success of its development pipeline. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team in identifying and analyzing project-level risks related to interconnection and transmission, as well as overseeing the evaluation of future transmission topologies. Managing interconnection queue positions and monitoring regulatory and market developments to align with project teams is also a key aspect of the position. Building and maintaining a strong network of industry stakeholders to optimize interconnection outcomes is a critical part of the role. Applicants for the Head of Transmission position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in energy development or transmission planning, with a strong understanding of Open Access Transmission Tariffs (OATT) and Generator Interconnection Procedures across U.S. ISO/RTO regions, particularly ERCOT and WECC. The role requires demonstrated leadership skills, the ability to manage teams and external consultants effectively, and excellent communication skills to articulate technical risks within development strategies. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required, with a Master's degree and Professional Engineering license preferred.
