This role is pivotal in the evolution of a community-based model that has been a viable alternative to youth incarceration and residential placement services for over five decades. The successful candidate will be responsible for training and guiding local program directors in engaging with neighborhood businesses and local corporations to connect program participants with jobs and workforce development opportunities. The position is focused on creating a larger wealth-creation and asset-building formula, and the VP will be instrumental in growing existing workforce development programs and recruiting national and regional corporate partners to support the initiative. Applicants for the Vice President position must have a proven track record in nonprofit and/or workforce development program creation and growth, with a minimum of 5 years experience in workforce development and/or demonstrated fundraising success. The role requires a self-motivated individual with a passion for teaching, making community connections, and fostering innovative systems change. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are essential, as is the ability to work with individuals from diverse cultures. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with creativity, vision, and the ability to collaborate and influence others, and will have experience in partner stewardship, developing data benchmarks, and tracking performance. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, and the candidate should be proficient in relevant computer software applications and be available to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.
