The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the early-stage development of solar and energy storage projects, from origination to NTP or COD. This role requires a professional with a strong background in renewable energy development, particularly in the areas of solar and storage. The VP, Project Development will serve as the primary liaison with development partners, manage project schedules and budgets, and work across various disciplines to ensure the successful completion of projects. The position demands a high level of independence, the ability to complete complex tasks, and a commitment to the growth of new renewable energy projects. Candidates for this role should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred, and at least 5 years of experience in renewable energy development. The role requires a technical understanding of clean energy business processes, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset. The VP, Project Development will be expected to have a proven track record in project development, including expertise in areas such as real estate or legal documentation, interconnection, permitting, engineering, due diligence, financial modeling, and policy or offtake/PPA negotiations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
