The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining accounting policies, internal controls, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the accounting function, including general accounting, project accounting, fixed assets, accounts payable, billings, and payroll. The VP, Controller will also be tasked with managing the financial close process, reconciliation of financial accounts, and providing support for data analysis and executive-level reporting. Additionally, the role requires the ability to lead business transformation efforts, build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and mentor a team of accounting professionals. Applicants for the VP, Controller position at the company should have a BS in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management, with an MBA, MS, and/or CPA being preferred. A strong technical knowledge of GAAP, accounting processes, internal controls, and accounting/ERP systems is essential. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within a field-based business, and experience in the energy or construction industry is a plus. Key competencies for this role include the ability to drive results, manage ambiguity, and lead through change, as well as a proven track record of building and leading strong teams.
