Sentry's Regional team is continuing to grow! We are looking for a Territory Manager to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. In this role, you will solicit, sell and coordinate services to assigned accounts and independent agencies to achieve annual sales, profit, retention, and premium goals.What You'll DoAs a Territory Manager, you will select agencies through identification of qualified partnerships. You will also:Solicit account through appointed business products independent agents and/or selected agents/brokers, or in response to inquiries from prospective clients, or referrals. Occasional direct solicitation may be involved.Initiate and implement market development programs designed to support and enhance market segmentation, penetration, sales and profitability.Evaluate prospective accounts and independent agencies to determine acceptability and work closely with management, Underwriting, Loss Control and Claims in determination of acceptability of the risk and the services needed.Serve as the primary contact with assigned accounts and agencies. Develop and maintain relationships/services, procedures and contacts for assigned business products accounts and agencies.Provide comprehensive sales expertise to independent agents to increase production.May take on field underwriting responsibilities for some territories.What it TakesBachelors Degree or equivalent work experience5+ years of related work experienceThorough knowledge of insurance products in field of specialization, selling methods, and sales techniques.Previous commercial lines insurance experience, preferably in sales, claims, or safetyEffective human relations, communication and interpersonal skills.Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with a valid driver's license and ability to meet travel requirements.What You'll ReceiveAt Sentry, your total rewards go beyond competitive compensation.
