Brief DescriptionThe Crane Mechanic performs all maintenance checks and fixes any and all mechanical problems that arise. The Crane Mechanic must be able to develop and maintain maintenance schedules and keep excellent repair records.This position reports to the Yard Foreman and the Facility Manager.Position ResponsibilitiesUphold Resolve's commitment to safety.Maintain and repair cranes and other equipment as needed.Determine overall condition of machines through inspections.Diagnose issues with hydraulic and electrical systems.Restore equipment to working order.Exhibit positive and effective interaction with other RESOLVE associates, vendors, and customers.Maintain accurate records of all service, repair, and other work performed.Physical effort and dexterity is required, lifting up to 75 pounds, including service-related tools.Be familiar with the compliance requirements for OSHA, ANSI, and all local, state, and federal regulation.Other duties as assignedRequirementsMUST have experience with friction cranesHigh School diploma or GED Technical or associate degree in electrical engineering, electronics, diesel mechanics or heavy equipment mechanics, preferred. At least 5-7 years of mechanic or oiler experience Valid driver's license and/or passport TWIC or be able to obtain upon hire.Preferred Certifications/ SkillsCurrent or able to obtain a national certified Crane Operator license.NCCIC A/D Director CertificationLifting Director CertificationRigging CertificationForklift Operator CertificationShipyard Competent Person TrainingFall Protection AwarenessConfined Space TrainingOSHA 10 Hour (US employees)40 Hour HAZWOPER8 Hour HAZWOPERFirst, Aid CPR, AEDForklift Operator LicenseEngineering Degree Inventory, asset tracking experienceExperience with Maintenance Connection system and/ or DH4 systemTravel RequirementUp to 30% travel is required.
