We are seeking a driven Grade 7 Special Education (ICT) Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year that operates with a high sense of urgency and possesses a strong work ethic. Candidates for this position do NOT need to speak Hebrew. The School is fully committed to a culturally diverse faculty and student body. The school is eager to consider applications from traditionally underrepresented groups.Job Responsibilities:Provide instructional services to students with IEPs in the areas of reading, mathematics, and writingDeliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the student's IEPConsult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to studentsCommunicate and conference with parents providing information on student progressManage and support an organized and professional classroom that is conducive to learningSupport student and school needs in preparing to be successful on the NYS State ExamWork closely with peers and administration to develop multifaceted curriculum that integrate multiple subjects and approaches to meet the individual needs of studentsLead classroom differentiation through curricular modifications, instructional techniques, parallel instruction, and integrated classroom strategiesAssess and develop goals for the IEP processImplement IEP goals and strategies into an integrated classroomMaintain an awareness of school's strategic initiatives and incorporate them into your work.Regularly and accurately report student progress and maintain accurate and up to date records related to student achievement, performance, and IEP goalsReview data daily and amend your approach accordinglyTake an active role in your professional development by identifying and creating opportunities to expand your skills to meet the demands of individual student needsAttend IEP meetings and parent conferencesDevelop strong relationships with parents and students to create investment in school culture and academicsMeet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules and collaborating effectively with co-teachers and colleaguesA person who believes in the critical importance of diversity in the life of a schoolMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required; Masters degree preferredElementary and/or Middle School teaching experience preferredMust hold NYS Teaching Certification Students with Disabilities Birth-5thExcellent oral and written communication skillsPassionate about teaching and learning your subject areaLegally authorized to work in the USACOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:We offer a highly competitive compensation package designed to attract and retain top talent.
