The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed commissioning scripts and test procedures for the startup, testing, and commissioning of data center electrical infrastructure. This position will provide you with the opportunity to apply your technical expertise in electrical engineering and commissioning, as well as develop project management skills while working on large-scale, complex projects involving data centers.LIVE ANYWHERE with 75% travel. Schedule is typically 2-3 weeks on, 1-2 weeks off.*If you have at least 2 years of experience with Electrical Commissioning in a Data Center Environment, please feel free to also reach out directly to anastasia.young@ with your resume.*Responsibilities Develop and execute detailed commissioning scripts and test procedures for data center electrical infrastructure including UPS, Automatic Transfer Switches, substations, electrical distribution switchgear, batteries, emergency diesel generators, and load banks. Perform performance acceptance testing and equipment inspection to ensure systems are installed and functioning according to project specifications. Participate in factory witness tests to verify equipment performance and adherence to project specifications. Utilize building automation systems for monitoring and controlling data center facilities. Develop and manage the electrical test schedule, ensuring all testing is completed on time and within budget. Implement and oversee QA/QC processes to ensure high-quality engineering and commissioning services. Adhere to and enforce all OSHA safety regulations and guidelines. Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to ensure project success. Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and technicians. Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to clients and stakeholders.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering and commissioning, specifically with data centers. Proven experience with script development, building automation systems, performance acceptance testing, QA/QC, equipment inspection, and test scripts. Knowledge and experience with UPS, Automatic Transfer Switches, substations, electrical distribution switchgear, batteries, emergency diesel generators, and load banks. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and guidelines. Experience with factory witness tests and electrical test schedules. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively. Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.Interested in hearing more?
