Currently, they are looking to add a Controller to their team.Salary/Hourly RateDOEPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our client's dynamic Finance team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, accounting, and regulatory compliance functions within the investment banking division. The ideal candidate for the Controller role will possess a strong background in financial management, a keen attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Responsibilities Of The Controller Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Accounting Oversight: Lead the accounting team in maintaining accurate and complete financial records. Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Budgeting and Forecasting: Coordinate the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasts. Analyze variances between actual results and budgeted figures, providing insights and recommendations. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company adheres to all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed. Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Provide insights on financial performance, trends, and potential risks. Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative andhigh-performance work environment.Qualifications For The Controller Minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in accounting or finance. Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial regulations. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, QuickBooks, and Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders. High level of integrity and professionalism.Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
