International Tax Director

Background:Wiss & Company is seeking a hands-on and client facing Director, International Tax to join our growing organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid International Tax compliance foundation both from a preparation and review perspective. The position will reside in our Florham Park, NJ location and we are proud to afford candidates a PERMANENT HYBRID work arrangement.Local candidates only will be considered at this time!Core Responsibilities:Prepare/Review Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, 1118, 1116, 8938, 926, 114, etc.Possess sound understanding prior experience working with forms 1042, W-8s, and other relating to U.S. withholding tax on cross border payments.Assist clients with setting up foreign entities (Tax Treaty Planning) and ensure meeting the tax withholding obligations on payments to foreigners.Calculate earnings & profits and taxable income under U.S. tax principles for purposes of international reporting.Demonstrate sound understanding of expatriate taxation to ensure our expatriate clients meet their tax obligations and receive benefits of which they are entitled.Understand transfer pricing regulations and advise clients when a study is required and how intercompany transactions are structured.Develop and mentor Staff through active coaching and training to ensure success.Qualifications/Education:Minimum of 10 years of concentrated International Tax experience ideally at a Mid-size/Regional/National public accounting firmBachelor's degree in Accounting requiredCPA license (Active) requiredMST highly preferred but not requiredAbility to understand and analyze cross border payments/transactionsHave a general working knowledge of corporate tax conceptsPossess some experience with U.S. tax forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120S and/or 1120 a PLUSManage client relationships and be viewed as a trusted and consultative advisorDemonstrate polished written and verbal communicationWiss is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer - Minority / Female / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation / Age""Wiss is committed to diversity and inclusion.
