Great Reputation Remote Work 190h Requirement Bonus Competitive compensation Excellent BenefitsJob DetailsPosition OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Defense Associate to join our legal team in California. The ideal candidate will be a California-barred attorney with experience or a strong interest in workers' compensation defense. This role involves managing a caseload, drafting legal documents, representing clients in administrative hearings, and providing strategic legal counsel to employers, insurers, and third-party administrators.Key Responsibilities Handle a caseload of workers' compensation defense matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents. Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trials before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB). Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on workers' compensation laws and claim strategies. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and consultation. Attend settlement conferences, mediations, and negotiate resolutions on behalf of clients. Stay current on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations in California. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California. Experience in workers' compensation defense is preferred, but candidates with a strong interest in the field will also be considered. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Strong verbal communication and advocacy abilities. Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
