SEG is seeking a dedicated Civil Superintendent to oversee and manage daily field activities, ensuring projects meet milestone dates and overall schedules. The ideal candidate will coordinate work, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure compliance with contract terms and legal requirements. Responsibilities include creating project schedules, reviewing materials, managing inspections, resolving issues proactively, and maintaining thorough documentation. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to foster a culture of safety, health, and cleanliness.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily field operations to meet project timelines.Create and manage short-interval project schedules.Ensure proper material usage and installation.Maintain compliance with contracts and legal requirements.Administer client-specific programs and conduct regular meetings.Proactively identify and resolve project issues.Manage project budgets, changes, and closeout processes.Maintain daily reports and documentation.Promote a culture of safety and cleanliness.Minimum QualificationsAS degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar field with 5-7 years of related experience or a Journeyman status in a building trade (i.e. Carpenter) with 10+ years of progressive responsibility supervising construction;Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or institutional general contractor engaged in general building and civil construction.A minimum of 3 years of experience in government contracting preferred;Must be able to read drawings and Statements of Work (SOW);Proficiency with spreadsheets, Email and other software used in the construction industry.Current safety credentials to include OSHA 30, 1st Aid and CPR.BenefitsBase Wage Bonus401(k) with company matchMedical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short Term and Long-Term Disability Paid Time Off Company VehicleContinuing Education Assistance Work EnvironmentThe role involves working on construction sites, in offices, and traveling to different project locations.
