They specialize in delivering top-notch mechanical solutions with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and quality.We are currently seeking an experienced Detailer to join their dynamic team in Ames, Iowa. This position offers a competitive hourly rate, excellent benefits, and growth opportunities.The Ideal CandidateIn-depth understanding of mechanical piping, plumbing, and HVAC Sheetmetal systems.Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks within a 3D modeling environment.Expertise in routing, layout, clash detection, and coordination to produce complete shop drawings and 3D models.A working knowledge of Autodesk Fabrication CADMEP and Trimble Total Station systems is preferred.Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Other Essential FunctionsReview engineering and contract mechanical drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.Interpret and analyze project specifications, blueprints, and submittals to create detailed designs.Survey existing field conditions to identify and resolve conflicts.Create and optimize piping, plumbing, and HVAC Sheetmetal models.Facilitate or lead project coordination meetings with other trades to ensure seamless integration.Collaborate with the Prefabrication Manager to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.2+ years of detailing experience in mechanical, Sheetmetal, or piping systems.Field installation experience in Sheetmetal or piping is a plus.Autodesk Fabrication CAD MEP and Trimble Total Station training will be provided.
