Stanley Consultants needs additional leadership to maintain our current market presence while assisting our existing team to build Stanley's water market presence. In doing so, this position will lead, deliver, and manage projects through study, design and construction phases of water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, stormwater pump stations, large diameter pipelines and utility work.The Water/Wastewater Pipeline and Pump Station Senior Engineer / Project Manager a professional that is well versed in all aspects of engineering services for pump stations and pipeline and regional expertise projects through:Study, design and construction phases of water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, stormwater pump stations, treatment plant hydraulicsLarge diameter pipelines and utility work.:Wastewater conveyance and peak weather flow infrastructureHydraulic modelingAsset managementRisk and resiliency consulting and designSmart water system planning, design, and implementationWhat You Will Be Doing:Serving as primary client contact, advising and informing them regarding project status and scheduleCommunicating with regulatory agencies, vendors, contractors, partner firms, whose work or services are related to the project and communicating relevant information to the community, or technical groups with interests related to the projectPerforming and directing complex studies and investigations and preparing reports of findingsStrong understanding of applicable industry standards, laws, policies and proceduresAbility to build, effective implement and manage training programs; workload and staffing plans; marketing plans and proposal preparation and budgetsAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skillsSuccess-oriented attitude and self-starter who takes initiativeSelecting equipment and material for projects and/or approving manufacturer's shop drawings of these itemsCoordinating phases of the work to ensure completion within the established time and budgetary constraintsParticipation in local professional organizations, preparing, and presenting market specific papers and presentationsWork in collaboration with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C, structural, and CAD) in producing plans and specificationsAssisting in marketing business opportunities with key clients and development of responses to RFP/RFQsProviding marketing and support during the procurement and execution of projectsDeveloping and maintaining long-term relationships with clientsConsistently managing and delivering projects on time and within budgetDesire and ability to manage and mentor staffBackground Requirements:A minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in either Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering is required; a Master of Science (MS) degree is preferredA minimum of 10 years of relevant experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license is requiredMust possess a network of water/wastewater professionals/contactsRegional and technical expertise in design of in water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, and large and small diameter pipelinesParticipate in local and national professional associations including the American Water Works Association and Water Environment Association. Actively participate by seeking leadership roles in the organization and presenting at conferencesPossess strong verbal, computer, and organizational skillsMust have excellent technical writing skillsPossess strong client relationship skillsMust have excellent design team leadership skillsStanley's Approach to FlexibilityWhile some members choose to work out of their local office on a full-time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or at home.
