MAU is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our client in Waterloo, IA. As a Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with production and support equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This is a direct-hire opportunity.Benefits Package:401k matchingLife insuranceHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceShort term disabilityLong term disabilityPaid time offShift Information:Monday to Thursday | 1:00 PM - 11:00 PMRequired Education and Experience:Completion of a one-year certificate program from a college or technical school, OR2 to 5 years of relevant experience and/or training, ORAn equivalent combination of education and experienceGeneral Requirements:Proficiency in reading and using measurement toolsStrong math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimalsAbility to apply practical problem-solving skills to follow detailed written or verbal instructions effectivelyEssential Functions:Diagnose, plan, and execute mechanical and/or electrical tasks to modify, dismantle, repair, overhaul, and rebuild various types of equipment, including addressing complex failuresInterpret drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions to complete tasks accuratelyIdentify appropriate components and determine installation requirements effectivelyUtilize standard mechanic's tools and inspection gauges to ensure precise workMaintain a clean and organized workspace by removing debris, cleaning parts and tools, and storing equipment properlyStrictly adhere to lockout/tagout procedures for safetyImplement temporary fixes when necessary and document work orders for permanent repairsWork independently with minimal supervision to complete tasks efficientlyPerform additional duties as assigned to support operationsWork Environment or Working Conditions:Employees must be able to work in varying Iowa climates, enduring both heat and cold conditions within the facility. The work environment is fast-paced, with high noise levels and potential exposure to paint fumes and chemicals.
