Our client is a well-established distributor for the construction industry with nearly 50 years in the business. They are searching for a Sales Representative to start or continue their career in sales with a reputable, family-owned company.Salary$22-33/hour + uncapped commission + full benefitsJob SummaryThe Sales Representative will play a key role in driving sales and delivering exceptional customer service by proactive outreach to current and potential customers via phone, email, and in-person interactions to generate new sales opportunities. The Sales Representative will prepare accurate sales orders for pricing, processing, and shipping, ensuring a smooth flow of operations. TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED.Job Responsibilities: Contact current and potential customers via telephone, email, and in person to generate sales. Professional communication skills required. Prepare sales orders for pricing. Accuracy is a must, as this position prepares sales orders for pricing, processing, and shipping. Work well in a team environment. This position will work with product managers, credit department, warehouse associates, shipping department, and other sales staff. Customer Relations. This position will also work with customers on any issues they may have. Must be able to work with company management and customer to resolve issues. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. This position will have access to company proprietary information that must be kept confidential.Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook) Must be able to read a tape measurer Must have basic math skills Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices High school diploma or GED required Associate degree preferred Sales Background preferred but not required Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
