Lead Electrical Designer | Richmond, VirginiaFull-time | Direct HireClient is open to assisting with relocation expenses.Kelly Engineering is looking for a Lead Electrical Designer with electrical design experience in a to join our client's team to assist in producing conceptual design to construction documents from utilization voltage to low voltage including, detailed equipment layout, single and three-line diagrams, grounding, and feeder routing.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESReview and analysis of electrical drawings, specifications and submittals.3D modeling of pathway and circuiting layout consistent with the electrical design based on the direction provided by the project VDC lead and field installation leads.Equipment layout adjustments based on the direction provided by the project VDC lead and according to the engineering design.Participation in the design coordination process and resolving coordination conflicts.Production of coordination / shop drawings, installation detailsProduction of sketches to support field installation tasks.Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and related concepts.Knowledge of the field installation best practicesKnowledge of critical design softwareQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED10-14 years of design experienceField experience with electrical installationsDesign experience with Autodesk Revit (required), Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk AutoCADCompleted electrical apprenticeship and journeyman or master electrician status strongly desiredTRAVEL: Approximately 25% to client sites and manufacturing facilityCLIENT OFFERINGSMedical, dental, and vision insuranceCompetitive salaries401k and matchPTO and holidaysApplicants must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
