The combined North American business now has more than 900 employees, operates across 40 locations, including 8 brick plants, 26 masonry supply/retail locations and 3 design studios.Position SummaryThis position requires strong electrical experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.As the Electrical Technician, you will install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and parts, such as, motors, hydraulic pneumatic, be adept at installing, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining PLC and/or computer-controlled production equipment and controls to include Modicon and Allen Bradley equipment.Required Skills/AbilitiesMust be able to read prints, diagrams, schematics, programs and operating instructions and have a record of dependability and outstanding job attendanceAssist in the maintaining of preventive maintenance schedule for all electronics/equipmentMust be able to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a wide variety of industrial equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics and conveyorsTroubleshooting maintaining and installing electrical equipment.Provide technical assistance on the design, repair, or improvement of equipmentQualifications5 + years of hands-on experience as an Electrician within a manufacturing environmentAn Associate degree in Electrical Technology and/or graduation from an acceptable Technical Training Institution in an electrical or electronic systems program is preferred.Experience with PLC (Allen Bradley) and/or computer-controlled production equipmentMust be able to read and understand complex program and equipment manuals with a high degree of comprehension and accuracyPossess experience in AC/DC motor control.
