Job Title: Accounting Consultant - Statutory Reporting Support Company: Jefferson Wells Location: Remote Job Description: Jefferson Wells is seeking an experienced Accounting Consultant to provide statutory reporting support for a critical year-end close and refiling project. This opportunity is remote, offering the chance to work with a leading organization tackling complex financial reporting challenges. Responsibilities: Support the refiling of 2023 annual statements, addressing inaccuracies and misstatements. Identify and correct issues, including: Claims reserves that were underreserved. Incorrect assumptions impacting financial reporting. Reinsurance numbers that were improperly reflected. Assist in addressing the impact on 2024 quarterly filings and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports. Utilize your NAIC expertise to guide the organization through regulatory complexities and requirements. Provide insights and recommendations to improve processes and reporting accuracy for future filings. Requirements: Proven experience with refiling annual statements and addressing complex financial reporting issues. Expertise in NAIC statutory reporting and regulatory requirements. Strong knowledge of claims reserves, reinsurance, and related financial reporting processes. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. CPA designation is preferred but not required.
