Location: Euclid - 22801 - Cleveland, OH, United States (US) Employment Status: Salary Full-Time Function: Distribution/Logistics Req ID: 25498 Summary Lincoln Electric is seeking a Logistics & Transportation Manager, based in our Euclid global headquarters. The Logistics & Transportation Manager will be responsible for managing both inbound and outbound transportation operations, supervising transportation providers, and leading our Cleveland-based logistics teams. Supporting North American operations, this role will have responsibility for inbound vendor raw materials, intercompany coordination, and outbound shipping. What You Will Do: The Logistics & Transportation Manager will be responsible for leading the logistics operations for Cleveland's manufacturing site while providing support to North American teams. This includes a wide range of strategic and operational functions: Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and mentor Cleveland-based logistics teams, fostering a high-performance culture. Ensure continuous development of team members through training, performance evaluations, and goal setting. Logistics Planning & Execution: Oversee and streamline inbound raw material transportation, intercompany shipments, and outbound logistics operations to meet delivery and cost objectives. Manage the capacity and scheduling of all modes of transportation to meet business requirements while supporting Cleveland's sales growth. Optimization & Efficiency: Actively participate in cost-saving initiatives such as E-Auctions. Ensure timely, damage-free delivery by collaborating with transportation providers to enforce compliance with routing standards and performance metrics. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work cross-functionally with the Supply Management team to identify and implement cost-effective logistics solutions that meet delivery expectations while reducing operational costs. Share best practices from Cleveland operations to enhance the logistics strategies of global subsidiaries. Freight & Claims Management: Manage and resolve freight claims, ensuring prompt processing and minimal financial impact. Oversee the timely processing of transportation freight bills and payment services, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is desirable 5-10+ years of relevant logistics or supply chain management Strong leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing teams and driving performance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and related tools for data analysis, reporting, and presentations. Knowledge of transportation laws, terms, and conditions. Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred). Strong understanding of market and industry trends, including emerging technologies and supply chain innovations.
