At APTIM, you can expect countless opportunities to learn, develop business and leadership skills, and engage on a multitude of projects.What You Can Expect From APTIMWork that is worthy of your time and talentRespect and flexibility to live a full life at work and at homeDogged determination to deliver for our clients and communitiesA voice in making our company betterInvestment into your personal and professional developmentKey Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesLeading teams or projectsLeading and completing regulatory compliance reports, work plans, and special studiesProviding technical oversight and quality controlAnticipating client needs and identifying solutionsUtilizing skills and knowledge to solve complex problemsEvaluating geologic and hydrogeologic conditions and providing analysesPreparing and managing, scopes, budgets and schedulesCoordinating with contractors and clientsCollaborating with other team membersAttending client meetingsProviding other duties as required.Work may periodically involve oversight during the installation of monitoring wells and supervising other field tasksCoordination with the field team and laboratory to prepare sampling paperwork and bottle orders for sampling eventsCommunication of technical concepts, evaluation results, plans, reports, etc. during work team meetings; ensures conformance to applicable technical standards as well as company policies and proceduresBasic QualificationsBS/MS Geology, Engineering, or related field10-15 years of Landfill / Solid Waste experienceExperience with collecting environmental field data including groundwater, surface water, leachate, and landfill gas Ability to work on multidisciplinary projectsExcellent oral & written communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentSelf-starter and problem solverExcellent organizational skillsKnowledge of federal and state environmental regulationsAbility to wear proper PPE for work on hazardous waste sitesPossess a "Safety First" work ethicPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience working with the California State Water Resources Control Board a plus.Licensed State of California Professional Geologist or EngineerPossession of 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with current 8-hour refresher certificate a plus.Knowledge of statistical evaluation methods (Sanitas software knowledge a plus)Qualified Industrial Stormwater Practitioner Who We Are And What We DoAPTIM is a global industry leader headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
