HVAC Maintenance and Service Technician

Location: Lansing, MI 48917Contractor, wants to try before he buys, after 3 months will consider permHours: 7:00AM - 5:00PM Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Maintenance, diagnosis & repair HVAC equipment according to safety requirements, company standards, and manufacturer specificationsTravel to job sites in service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customerMaintain good working order of company vehicles including refueling as necessary, and reporting any mechanical issues. Vehicles should be washed on a regular basisUnderstand company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoices at the job site. Electronically process credit card payments. Obtain customer signature at completion of job. Obtain correct customer information including email addressIdentify and report to owner potential opportunities for additional business (new system, service contracts, and additional services)Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.NATE Certification is highly desiredType II EPA CardHigh school diploma/GED/HVAC degree or equivalent field experience with certification from a technical/trade schoolValid driver's license and a good driving record Must be able to pass criminal background checkBe able to lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spacesExcellent verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work independently in a team environment is requiredAvailability to work Monday through SaturdayAbility to work outdoors
