Jr. Culinary Roundsman

Brief DescriptionFreshDirect is currently seeking a Jr. Culinary Roundsman in Training in the New York City area. This position is responsible for learning all positions of the day-to-day production of the specific HMR work center ensuring the highest-level quality of service provided by our associates, while supporting the policies, goal, and objectives of the company.Responsibilities and Working Conditions:Understand and ensure compliance with: Food Safety, GMP's Safety & Sanitation compliance and FD's Quality policies; as well as ensure that the work area is safe, clean and organized for all team members to work.Learn to work in all positions related to the production of that work center and to ensure all production is completed. Ensure accuracy of all order fulfillment, processing, and production requirements. Work with all staff members, Team Leader, Supervisor, and Manager when issues arise.Offer suggestions on how to change and/or make work load easier and more efficient.Must be able to lift 50 pounds.In a workday: standing/walking 6-10 hours or moreHand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pullingWork requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reachingExposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals, loud noises, flashing lightsConstant exposure to temperatures: Ability to work in a wet and cold environmentAbility to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as neededAbility to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machineryAbility to work in other areas of the business as neededNote: The hourly range for this role is from $16.00 to $16.00.
