Established in 1924, our services include tax, auditing, and accounting.Job DescriptionScheffel Boyle is now hiring Seasonal Tax Preparers for the upcoming tax season. Hours will vary between days, evenings, and Saturdays beginning in January and ending in April of 2025 with overtime opportunity. These positions are great for job seekers wanting seasonal employment, or for students looking for resume material and professional experience.Responsibilities Include:Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, business, and trusts and estatesDemonstrate knowledge, technical skills, and work qualityCommunicates with clients and follows up as neededConducts tax consultations with clients and answers client questions as neededUphold current firm and industry standardsRequired Skills & Experience:Experience completing individual returns and tax planningAbility to effectively communicate in person and in writingStrong work ethic and ability to work in fast paced environmentAbility to prioritize and manage multiple returns of varying sizes and complexity while meeting all required deadlinesProfessional appearance, excellent organizational skills and attention to detailEnrolled Agent (EA) certification a plus
