POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for all aspects of payroll administration to support multiple businesses across several states in semimonthly payroll. This includes, but is not limited to, data entry of new hires, terminations, employee updates, calculating wage garnishments, preparing checks, and working directly with local HR contacts.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Perform all payroll related functions for multi-state, multi-company payroll using PeopleSoft and Workday software including California terminations, overtime calculation, gross ups, charity deductions, bonus paymentsManage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timelyAudit incoming paperwork for authorized approvals and verify accuracy of local office data entry for assigned agenciesPerform second audit of payroll data entry/approvals completed by peer Payroll Coordinator agenciesInput off-cycle payments as necessarySupport local office Payroll and HR departments by responding to questions or inquiriesAssist in the printing and mailing of checks, direct deposit advices, and garnishmentsSet up garnishments and wage assignments as mandated by state and federal lawsProcess multi-state leave of absence and ensure accuracy of data from assigned agencies and 3rd party vendorMaintain payroll files and furnish payroll information as required to internal and external sourcesPossibly some overtime required twice a monthRegular and reliable attendance requiredAbility to work onsite in an office environment with limited remote work alternatives, consistent with applicable lawEDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:High School diploma or equivalentExperience processing payroll for 5000+ employees in multiple statesA minimum of 3-5 years of experience in similar roleProficiency in Microsoft Office and AdobeExcellent computer skills and 10-key proficiencyKnowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding garnishments, tax regulations, and FLSAStrong organizational, time management, analytical, comprehension, and problem solving skillsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasksConsistent and maintained accuracy requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWorkday payroll experience a plusPeopleSoft payroll experience a plusBENEFITS OF JOINING IPG:One of our primary goals is to support the health and well-being of you and your family.
