Tax Manager

Our client located Nashville is in need of a Tax Manager. Their ideal candidate will possess a CPA license and is accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role requires effective communication and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with other team members to achieve shared goals and expand knowledge. Tax Manager Responsibilities:Prepare and review complex income tax returns, including but not limited to corporations, S corporations, partnerships, exempt organizations and individual returnsAssist in the quality control review of tax returns to ensure accuracy and complianceSupport planning and compliance for international tax matters, including waivers and tax return preparationOversee and review the preparation of quarterly tax projections, ensuring communication of required estimated tax paymentsAssist in the review and oversight of year-end shareholder bonus processesMaintain and ensure adherence to financial and tax reporting policies and proceduresAssign, track and manage tasks and projects for the tax staffOversee and assist in the review of 1099 reportingPrepare and review tax correspondence and facilitate the management of tax audits and noticesOversee entity creation and dissolution procedures, including obtaining Articles of Incorporation, organizational documents, FEIN applications and 2553 filingsProvide support to the team on tax software-related questionsAssist in the review of annual reports, franchise tax returns and other state filingsAid in client invoicing for tax services rendered Tax Manager Requirements:Ability to reliably commute to and report at the Nashville officeBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics with a strong academic backgroundExperience with QuickBooks and ExcelActive CPA licenseProficiency in tax software and related technology7+ years of experience in a tax practice If you are interested in this opportunity and meet the qualifications, please apply today!
