Although based out of Nashville, we serve several communities across middle and East Tennessee with satellite offices in Antioch, Gallatin, Dickson, Columbia, Cleveland, Murfreesboro, Clarksville, Cookeville, Chattanooga, and Memphis.If you are interested in joining a team that is caring, collaborative, innovative and energizing this might be a great place for you!Job Title: Medical Director, Substance Use ServicesPosition Summary: Provide low-threshold buprenorphine focused clinical care and clinical oversight to the agency's substance abuse treatment services in multiple settings.Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Includes some on-call responsibilities)Job Location: 275 Cumberland Bend, Nashville, TN (Onsite)Position ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical supervision to providers working in substance abuse services.Provide supervision and training requirements focused on harm reduction valuesReview a minimum of 10% of Consumer charts monthly and document reviews per agency guidelines.Provide clinical leadership and consultation to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) team.Provide feedback and leadership to Director of Substance Abuse Services and Addiction Medicine Providers regarding implementation and up-dates to policies and procedures as needed.Conduct evaluations for individuals experiencing substance abuse and/or psychiatric conditions in an outpatient setting, face-to-face and/ or by telehealth as needed.Work collaboratively with treatment team to positively engage Consumers and provide treatment that is focused on harm reduction values.Provide up-dated education on substance abuse treatment and related topics to providers and nurses as directed by Agency Chief Medical Officer.Work collaboratively with Compliance team to ensure substance abuse services are meeting or exceeding licensing and industry standards of care.Provide high quality medical care in accordance with recognized standards of care related to addiction medicine and harm reduction.Participate and lead internal trainings related to harm reduction protocols with colleagues.Ongoing oversight that complex clinical decisions are guided by agency protocols established by CMO in collaboration with Medical Directors.Physician will adhere to established treatment protocols set by the agency.Prepare for and actively participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings.Provide urgent care to Consumers as needed. This could include providing primary care services as needed in the Integrated Health Clinic (IHC).The Medical Director shall be physically present at the Facility the equivalent of (25) percent of the time the Facility is open to the public each week.On a monthly basis, the Medical Director shall review ten (10) percent of the medical charts for patients currently admitted to the Facility and document each chart review.No physician may serve as medical director of more than three (3) Facilities without the prior written approval of the TDMHSAS Office of Licensure.
