Job Title: Plant Manager / Shop Foreman (Steel Fabrication)Location: Smithfield, VAPay: 90k-130kWe are a well established and growing Fabricator and Erector of Structural Steel construction throughout the region. Our team is looking to add a Plant Manager with Steel Fabrication experience.Position OverviewThe Plant Manager / Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and managing a team of skilled workers. The role requires a focus on safety, productivity, and continuous improvement in the areas of structural steel fabrication.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise all aspects of the plant's operations to ensure efficiency and safety.Lead and motivate a team of fabricators and shop workers to achieve production goals.Implement production schedules and monitor workflow to meet deadlines.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to maintain operational standards.Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize fabrication processes for structural steel.Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for necessary materials.Manage budgeting and financial reporting for the production department.QualificationsProven experience as a Plant Manager or Shop Foreman in a manufacturing environment, preferably in structural steel fabrication.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety management.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.If this sounds like a fit, please apply!BenefitsLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
