In this role, you will be based in Jefferson, PA.A day in the life of a Belt Technician can look likeBecome proficient in all processes and concepts as outlined for Belt Tech competencies and skill areas. Reference Fabrication skill matrixObserve and follow safety rules as outlined in the Safety PolicyObserve and follow company policy as outlined in the Employee HandbookComplete shop orders by the Production Priority Code system as establishedComplete the assigned work without fabrication errors and in accordance with quality standards as well as customer specific requirementsPerform necessary tasks in fulfilling work orders that achieve company goals in support of internal and external customers, quality and on-time deliveryPerform regular housekeeping of the work station assignedIdentify unusual or uncommon fabrication instruction and clarify with Team LeadProvide assistance as required in other areas as needed to support company and plant goalsAssist with belt installation at customers' facilities on time and in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with company policy and practicesComplete any additional special assignments as assignedPerform general belt fabrication including Cut To Length, Lacing, Finger Splicing and SlittingWe are looking for you to haveHigh school Diploma, GED, Technical/Trade School or equivalent experienceValid driver's license required if operating company vehiclePrior manufacturing work experience in operating machinery and using various hand toolsAbility to read and comprehend shop orders and working drawings written in EnglishMust be able to read and interpret measuring devices (tape measures, calipers, scales)Ability to complete basic mathematical functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, decimals and metric systemMust be able to work in the USCompetenciesExcellent communication and follow-up skillsDetail and task orientatedContinuous improvement/innovationMust be able to read and write EnglishAre accountable to othersHave the courage to challenge the status quoAre honest with co-workers and customersAble to be innovative problem solversAre engaged team membersAdd value to the CompanyExpects excellence of self and othersOverserves top customers Understands, simplifies and acts to improve processesPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
