Nuclear Medicine Technologist - MobileLocation: Elmwood Park, NJ$15K sign-on/retention bonus!Pay range: $60/hr - $70/hr!No nights!No weekends!No holidays!No call!Always paired up with a Cardiac Stress Tech.Variety of working in different settings - work is performed at outpatient testing centers, hospitals, clinics, and/or physician office settings with moderate to high patient volume.Our client is the nationwide leader in mobile nuclear cardiology. Get a consistent schedule, and say goodbye to working weekends, holiday shifts, and being constantly on-call.Perform functional and/or perfusion rest and stress cardiac studies, including image processing for physician review.Understand and implement all policies and procedures which include daily quality control, equipment operations, exam procedures, radiation safety, calibrating and transporting isotope (when necessary) and ordering doses appropriately.Insert intra-catheter needle accurately (following procedure) while maintaining aseptic conditions.Administer prescribed isotopes and pharmaceuticals per standards and guidelines.Ensure patient safety while providing high quality testing.Perform daily quality control checks and calibrations on camera; complete required NRC/State documentation.Follow radiation safety policies and NRC/State guidelines for handling of radioactive pharmaceuticals, including but not limited to conducting daily surveys of hot lab, exam room, camera, and personnel.Successfully document testing results, patient medical history using EMR, additional administrative documentation may be required.Responsible for conducting mobile operations to include the following:Move, load, unload, and/or transport mobile imaging equipment using the Company van.Preparation and tear down of operations at customer sites, including preparing and inventorying pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, load and unload equipment in/out of the van, setup and tear down diagnostic equipment at the customer site and disposal of medical waste.Documenting daily usage and occurrences with the company vehicle.Travel to client sites as scheduled.
