Empower and support each other. Why You Should Want to Work with UsHealth, Dental, Vision, Disability & Life Insurance, and much more401K Retirement Plan (with company match)Tuition, Professional License and Certification ReimbursementPaid Time Off, Holidays and Volunteer TimePaid Orientation and TrainingDay Time Hours (no holidays/weekends)Manageable rosters and visits per day compared to a traditional practice environmentGreat Place to Work CertifiedEstablished in 11 statesLargest home-based primary care practice in the US for over 28 years, making a huge impact in healthcare today! More details about the benefits we offer can be found at ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Partner (Medical Assistant) will assist Harmony Cares Primary Care Physician, Nurse Practitioners and Clinical Teams in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management in a residential setting. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport Patient Care through Clinical Partnership with Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, and clinical teamsOperating the company car, drives clinicians to scheduled patient visitsPrepares patients for examination and treatment; May at times include preparing patients for minor surgical proceduresSecures patient consent forms, records patient care documentation accurately and in a timely mannerCoordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policiesRespects patient confidentiality at all times and treats patients with courtesy and respectPerforms phlebotomy (venipuncture only) duties as directed by clinicianLabels, stores and properly packages specimens for lab deliveryDocuments patient information in compliance with CLIA standards; Follows OSHA and HIPAA requirementsPrepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatment (supply inventory, medical bag and car) (where applicable)Ensure company vehicle is clean and proper periodic maintenance schedule is followed (where applicable)Manages/submits gas receipts and mileageAttends required meetings and in-servicesSupports mission, vision and core values which include but not limited to delivering compassionate support, attention and assistance to patients, families and members of the teamIn this role you may work with. . .Primary Care PhysiciansNurse PractitionersClinical TeamsPatientsPatients Families QualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and ExperienceHigh School graduate or GED equivalentGraduate of an accredited Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, related medical education/training program or 1 year of experience serving as a Medical Assistant or PhlebotomistDesire and ability to obtain MA certification with 180 days of hireCurrent BLS certification (through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network) at time of hire or within 30 days of hireKnowledge of medical terminologyBasic computer literacy, including EMR, iPad, and GPS experienceStrong interpersonal communication and customer service skillsPreferred Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceCertified Medical AssistantSix months of experience in patient care, preferably geriatric careStrong Phlebotomy skillsConditions of this role to be aware of. . .Full range body motion including handling/lifting patientsAbility to drive up to 150 miles daily in urban and/or rural settingAbility to lift/carry items weighing up to 50 lbAbility to read and understand road mapSit or stand for long periods of time Pay Transparency Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related considerations.
